VS-33 Screwbirds Squadron Shirt

Honor the legacy of VS-33, the Screwbirds, and more than four decades of U.S. Navy carrier-based anti-submarine and sea control aviation.

Established on April 1, 1960, VS-33 served the fleet during some of the most important decades of the Cold War. Known as the Screwbirds, the squadron began its history flying the S-2 Tracker in the carrier-based anti-submarine warfare mission, helping protect U.S. Navy carrier forces from the growing submarine threat.

VS-33 later transitioned to the S-3 Viking, a sophisticated carrier-based jet designed for anti-submarine warfare. As the Viking's mission evolved, the Screwbirds took on broader sea control responsibilities, including surface surveillance, reconnaissance, and aerial refueling.

Featuring an S-3 Viking on the front and the historic VS-33 Screwbirds patch on the back, this shirt honors the aircraft, aviators, aircrew, and maintainers behind decades of U.S. Navy anti-submarine warfare and sea control aviation.
