The Mighty Shrikes of VFA-94 were established on March 26, 1952. They initially flew the F4U Corsair but quickly transitioned to jet age flying aircraft such as the F9F Panther, F-11 Tiger, A-4 Skyhawk, A-6 Intruder, F/A-18C Hornet and currently the F/A-18F Super Hornet. They supported efforts in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.
