Celebrate the legacy of the Sidewinders with the VFA-86 Heritage Shirt. Called to active duty as Reserve Fighter Squadron 921 (VF-921) on February 1, 1951, the Sidewinders have built a proud history spanning more than 75 years of Naval Aviation.
Over the decades, the Sidewinders have flown some of Naval Aviation's most iconic aircraft, including the F4U Corsair, F8F Bearcat, F9F Panther, F7U Cutlass, A-4 Skyhawk, A-7 Corsair II, F/A-18C Hornet, F/A-18E Super Hornet, and today's F-35C Lightning II. Their combat history includes Vietnam, Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and Inherent Resolve.
This heritage design celebrates the aircraft and combat history that have defined the Sidewinders across generations of Naval Aviation.
