The Black Aces of VFA-41 were commissioned on February 1, 1950 flying the F2H Banshee. After this they flew the F3H Demon, F-4 Phantom, F-14 Tomcat and currently the F/A-18F Super Hornet. They have supported multiple combat actions to include Vietnam, Desert Storm, Operations Allied Force, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and Inherent Resolve.
