The Fist of the Fleet, VFA-25, began as a Torpedo Squadron on January 1, 1943 flying the TBF Avenger. Since then they have flown various aircraft to include the SB2C Helldiver, the A-7 Corsair II, the F/A-18C Hornet and today the F/A-18E Super Hornet. They have supported all major conflicts from WWII, Korea, Vietnam and most recently Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
