Celebrate the legacy of the Fist of the Fleet with the VFA-25 Heritage Shirt. Established as Torpedo Squadron 17 (VT-17) on January 1, 1943, the Fist of the Fleet has built a proud combat history spanning more than eight decades of Naval Aviation.
Over the decades, the squadron has flown some of Naval Aviation's most iconic aircraft, including the TBM Avenger, SB2C Helldiver, AD/A-1 Skyraider, A-7 Corsair II, F/A-18 Hornet, and today's F/A-18E Super Hornet. Its combat history includes service in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
This heritage design celebrates the aircraft and combat history that have defined the Fist of the Fleet across generations of Naval Aviation.
