Celebrate the legacy of the Fighting Redcocks with the VFA-22 Heritage Shirt. Established as VF-63 on July 27, 1948, the Fighting Redcocks have built a proud history spanning more than 75 years of Naval Aviation.
Over the decades, the Fighting Redcocks have flown some of Naval Aviation's most iconic aircraft, including the F8F Bearcat, F4U Corsair, F9F Panther and Cougar, FJ-4B Fury, A-4 Skyhawk, A-7E Corsair II, F/A-18C Hornet, and F/A-18F Super Hornet. Their combat history includes service in Korea and Vietnam and operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and Inherent Resolve.
This heritage design celebrates the aircraft and combat history that have defined the Fighting Redcocks across generations of Naval Aviation.
