The World Famous Golden Dragons of VFA-192 were established on March 26, 1945 flying the the F6F Hellcat. Throughout their history they have flown various aircraft to included the F4U Corsair, F9F Panther and Cougar, A-4 Skyhawk, A-7 Corsair II, F/A-18 Hornet and today they are flyting the F/A-18E Super Hornet. They have supported combat actions in World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom.
