Celebrate the legacy of the Tophatters with the VFA-14 Heritage Shirt. Established as Air Detachment, Pacific Fleet in September 1919, the Tophatters are the Navy's oldest active squadron, with more than a century of continuous Naval Aviation history.
Over the decades, the Tophatters have flown some of Naval Aviation's most iconic aircraft, including the SBD Dauntless, F4U Corsair, F-4 Phantom II, F-14 Tomcat, and today's F/A-18E Super Hornet. Their combat history spans World War II, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and other operations around the world.
This heritage design celebrates the aircraft and combat history that have defined the Tophatters across more than 100 years of Naval Aviation.
