VF-92 Squadron Shirt
Fighter Squadron 92 (VF-92), known as the Silver Kings, was established on 26 March 1952 flying the F4U Corsair. It was redesignated to VF-54 in 1962 but just over a year later was redesignated back to VF-92. In addition to the Corsair, it flew the F9F Panther, F2H Banshee, F3H Demon and the F-4 Phantom II. More than half of its time was flying the Phantom. The Silver Kings supported operations in the Korean War and had multiple deployments in support of the Vietnam War. On 12 December 1975 the squadron was disestablished.
