On May 10, 1972, Fighting Falcons F-4J crews shot down six enemy MiGs in a single day. Three were credited to LT Randall Cunningham and LTJG William Driscoll, giving them five victories and making them the first U.S. aces of the Vietnam War and the Navy's only aces of the conflict.
